I hope someone can shed some light for me. I was reading the previous thread re 28 parrots and have decided that one of mine to is a 28x due to the yellow. Can someone let me know if I concluded correctly. THANKS..

One on the left is a 28 the other is a 28 x port lincoln as theres yellow mixed with the green on the belly (I think) I'm pretty sure the port lincolns have yellow bellies.

I bought them out of the Weekend Shopper and he doesnt think they are that young nor old - maybe 2 years. nice quiet pair and paid only $180 pair which again am not sure whether I was done over or a bargain. Not sure on the 28 prices. He had 3 pairs and sold them all so can't have been that bad a pricing huh. Yes I have been reading and true the 28's have NO yellow. I would have said what all of you said. You read articles and they call '28's' Port Lincolns so its confusing.

On the east coast of AUS it's a bargain on the west it's a rip! This day and age I wouldn't be suprised if they were both hybrids, it's very difficult to obtain pure 28's or port lincolns

Wah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is alot! I dont think they are worth anywhere near as much here! Bird world sell them and freight them for less don't they? Birdworld sell them for $80 a pair, not including freight, i think there freight is $50, so it would b much cheaper to get them freighted from here

It's really strange on the national parks and wildlife guide it says the male 28 should have yellow on its stomach but not the female. I paid $150 for my pair.

Just looking at the pix (and they are younger birds) I'd say the male is a female and the female is a male! The one at the back of the second photo is part port lincon
