Well, here is the first part of my birthday pesent! He was given to me from friends of mine who bred him. His name is Cecil, and was born on the 7th of Jan at 11.15 am. I got a birth certificate and his egg shell and everything! The best bit is that Matt and my sister and some friends have bought me a voucher from my frieds to get a female too. I am so excited. They had 2 born the other day from a different pair than cecil's, fingers crossed they are red

Oh Thank God we can all talk about it now! I was so excited for you when I found out what was going on! Congratulations! Look at his big fat crop, likes his food eh ;D "Cecil" reminds of the old Ram in Footrot Flats (hmm might be a bit before your time, do you remember that comic strip?) Anyway here's hoping he produces lots of offspring for you just like the ram did! I wonder if he's related to Monty or Charlotte, quite likely he might be! Does that make us related now somehow Peter??? Can wait to hear more and of course see lots of pictures! Jen

lol! I love footrot flats, that was the first thing I said when I heard his name. I suggested naming the female dolly after the ewe on footrot flats.
Well, I am so very lucky! I got given cecil from my second set of parrents (my pretend parrents) and I got a voucher for his girlfriend from my bro and sis and a few friends AND my mates put in to buy me a giant aviary to put them in! Im set! Its so exciting!!!!

Anyway looking forward to hearing more news of Cecil and his future girlfriend! We will be looking forward to visiting at easter. Hope your not going away or anything silly like that!

Congrats. what a cutie Cecil is!!
What subspecies is he? The other clutch *should* have 1 male, 1 female. It's rare to have 2 females or 2 males so you probably can safely say one of those is definitely gonna be yours when it hatches ;D
How old is he?

Jen- Your right, it was aunt dolly, but remeber aunt dolly's hand raised sheep? I just found it's name! gussie! I have every single one of the commic books he made! they are great! It's so funny, and so true to farm life!
Kim I am pretty sure he is the new guinea sub species. How many sub species are there? He is eating lots of fruit and chilli and rice bubbles and boiled egg.

I think?? 9 or 10 sub species. The new guinnea (rs) & si are the most common ones here.
I'm finding more & more with Eddie to be a hybrid RS xSI. Very hard to tell when they're a mix. Eddie LOVES rice bubbles too LOL actually eddie loves everything, & even more so if it goes in our mouths LMAO
