This is a Harlequin Pied... if you can't tell. She was attack by my dog, Koda. He eat 2 other birds and was having a good old time pulling her feathers out and chasing her around. He broke a small cage I had on the floor in my breeding shed... Still don't know how he got in, theres a lock on the bottom and top of the door. There were about 10 in the cage because they were starting to get scaley face and leg and I didn't want an avairy full of scaley face budgies. The rest of the birds were okay but very scared. Here is some updated photo's of her. I was going to sell her but I think I will keep her now... Now I need to give her a name... any ideas??? Oh and just a quick note... I will never trust the dog again!

Dogs! They can be cruel to some animals, especially birds!
Try bedadine straight on the wond! It will keep it clean and help heal! Just tip it all over

so glad you saved her, I know how it feels my dogs hate my bunnies and if they could get my birds I know that they would. my dogs have killed one bunnie, but they didn't eat it just played with it. I was so angry with them, its so hard when the animals don't get on

She is such a pretty little budgie. To be honest it's been years since I have owned or paid much attention to budgies - boy have they come a long way with their colours! You still only see the standard blue and green in petshops.
I only have little dogs (maltese) so they dare not take on my eckies. They are really good with all the birds - infact my Weero often snuggles up with them on the couch.
