;D I went out to my brothers friends place with him yesterday to look at some red rumps and learn a bit more about them... He breeds sooo many birds!! he has about 30 avairies with redrumps, ringnecks, plum heads, conures (nanday, suns and green cheeks), so many birds!! I have probably missed some.lol. Any ways I was looking at some of his baby ringnecks when in amongst them I saw a little Kakariki, I told him I have been wanting to get one and he gave it to me!! yes GAVE it to me!! FREE!!!! he was going to rip its head off. poor thing, just because it has a slightly deformed bottom beak!! She or he is a sweet litle thing! It is a cinnomon. Here are some pics!!! Just gotta come up with a name now.hehehe

He is beautiful....I think it is a he. I think males have the bright spot head, females are duller... But don't take my word on that... I don't know much...

It looks like a male to me because of the amount of red on it's head. What a lucky baby! The ones that no one wants truely make the best pets!

I dont know, I have heard that a male has a wider beak and the female a narrower one, I went to a pet shop today that I knew had a couple of these guys, (mind you selling at $120 each!!) One exactly the same as mine! And I think the one thats like mine is a female, it was a cinnamon to, and the other was a normal, possibly a male, but still not sure what mine is!! lol

yeah I have wanted one ever since i saw them! Heheh now I got one! I am wondering if anyone knows what they would be like if I put it in with a few budgies? Are they viscious toward other smaller birds? It was in with ringnecks but being bigger birds maybe a bit more timid?
