This is my baby, kieko, He(or she) (we jsut asume he,lol) Is a typical lorrie, full of cheek and mischief!! he likes to call the cat and tricks everyone with his spot on telephone ring! Gets visitors everytime! And if a visitor doesnt say hello to him when they walk in he pesters them till they do..."Hello baby, (wolf wistle) Hello Keiko" And he likes to have arguments with my mother when she comes around, lol. Very funny to watch!!

I think my brother ( who lives next door) is a bit peeved though, he has an indain ring neck, he wants his to talk and has had him for alot longer than I have had Kieko, Kieko started talking after 2 weeks of being here, his still isn't talking, I have had Kieko now for about 12 months! Lol poor bro!!!

It is amazing! I was told that Lorries can't talk becase of the brush tongue, well I( or should I say Kieko) have proved that to be a myth!! LOL He doesn't shut up!!! So maybe it could be a good thing that these others don't talk, hehe, no it is great. He's a typical lorrie and just LOVES hair!!

That "info" about them not talking has come from pet shops, and a few different web sites that I had researched on Lorries! I admit my Lorrie has picked up a swear word or two as well....oooops.lol.

Kieko looks beautiful !!!
I love lorikeets. As for them not talking, I'm baby sitting my sister-in-laws bird at the moment. Now, she didn't talk when we got her here (due to my brother and sister never spending time with her) But NOW !! (and I have only had her about a week and a little) She wolf whistles and is just about saying HELLO and GOODNIGHT. Its there, just not real audiable at the moment.
I love lorikeets -squeal-
