With all the rain of late we have seen more and more Whilt the drought was on we hardly saw any it was good but it looks as if their on a come back I Still got the bat though !!

They are sooooo revolting. I heard that the military in NT has been asked to help stop them coming here as they have so much land that is restricted to normal people that a lot of the measures being taken won't be as effective with all of this inaccessible land. How does an animal like that end up infesting a country like that to the point of twisting the ecosystem? Did someone introduce it illegally? Just a random explosion of the toad?

They were introduced earlier last century to keep cane beetles under control but as usual no one does anything til it's too late to fix. I don't think we'll ever get rid of them but if we can reduce populations and how far they spread it would help a bit.
