I have a baby budgie whos just fledged and he thinks hes a quail he follows the quails he sleeps under the log with the quails and eats quail food... i dont know what to do except watch...its pretty cute.. has anyone else had this happen?

lol it is cute and because the quails are hand raised they are really tame so the budgie has became really tame too

Have you try to put the budgie back in the nesting box it jumped out of and see if mum and dad feed it and teach it... the ways of budgies not quails... LoL...

mum and dad go down to it and feed it and try to get it to follow them but he still keeps following the quails lol

Try putting him back in the nesting box and see if that helps...

He may eventually get bored with the quails. Hopefully he will realise there is a big wide area above him some time in the near future!

nope just running around with the budgie lol I think we ended up with two normal cocks and two silver hens, at what age do they start breeding?

i dont know when they start breeding !! my guess would be though not longer after the cocks get there markings under there neck (Correct me if im rong)!!!
