I have a pair of cinnamons and they are beautiful birds, they love brocolli and dont like apples (well mine dont), i hand raised their first bub and she has became the most beautiful pet for her new 6 yr old owner she follows him round the house calling out to him, they breed easily, i have mine in a tiel box, i try to remember to throw grass seeds on the bottom of the avairy every day so they can climb down and get them, mum sits on eggs by herself but dad feeds her and the bubbys , you can tell when they are going to lay because he will start feeding the hen all the time, they needed to be wormeds more often than most other birds due to the amount of time they spend on the ground, our female often lays her next clutch whilst her other babys are still in the nest, which is pretty normal.... they are really lovely birds they make great foster parents and are very good to their babys....well good luck with them...

I recomend you talk to Oaklee.
I spent the good part of three hrs at his house talking about his birds (which I must say are all beautiful!!) He has all the time in the world for novices like myself and willing to go over even in fine detail just so I got the understanding of what he was on about. Send him a PM, he usually replies pretty quick when he's not at work. (hope this helps)

Yes I completely endorse those comments about Oaklee he is probably the premier breeder of grass parrots in Australia and is only too happy to help out novices and " experts" alike he is a very knowledgeable person and a genuine nice guy.
