Oh they are stunning. Is there much colour variation between them? It's hard to tell in the pic. Sometimes the hens are as colourful as the cocks.

Look great Mark! Those 28's are really good examples of the species, excellent birds. The red caps are funny ones, I have seen some hens that are more colourful than cocks and some that are so dull they look like a different species. Good luck breeding this season, I am sure you will do well.

They are a parrot, not a lorikeet. They look fantastic Mark I had my 28s in a suspended but i felt sorry for them as they always wanted to run around on the ground.

Matt The Pair that i got last week have almost the same colouring so it is a little hard to tell them apart . But the Pair i got today are a Perfect example of the colour difference between the hen (lighter) and the cock (Darker colour) will post pics next weekend ! Justin When import / export opens up again ill swap you a pair for a pair of macaws ?? lol Natt Not a prob ill put you down (Mates rates) Karen Red Caps are also known as the WA King Parrot they are classified as a Australian Broad Parrot Bubbles Mine do not spend much time on the bottom as they came from suspended’s so im going to build some suspended’s for them 1200 high 1200 wide 2400 long and im going to move the Kakarikis in the conventional

Red caps are native to south west wa where marri trees grow as they eat the seeds out of the honkynuts. My one is just starting to colour up but won't get his full colour for another 6 months or more.
Yeah 28s love wandering around on the ground, you often see the wild ones having a peck around in the grass.
