Was doing the usual rounds of the birds outback today when I realised just how many of them talk and just how often I actually talk to them. Then it hit me... .what the hell must the neighbours think when they hear talking to the birds.
I've got a pair of Sun Conures, halfmoon Conures & Hahns macaws who all say Gimme Kiss. Yes these were birds I held back over the last 3 years. Still here I am outside walking up to the flights... Gimme Gimme Kiss.
I've got a Timneh Grey hen who adores me. I call her Flirty Girl. Yes she flirts with me and Yes she does give kisses. Now.... She also says in my voice. "Flirty".
I've got 2 pair of Hahns Macaws who tell me "Come On" when I've not fed them yet. I go back and forth with them.
I'm sure the neighbours would have me committed lol. They're actually good people and I'm lucky to have them as neighbours.
Anyhow.. Does anyone else have breeder birds that talk alot when your doing the rounds?

Unfortunately Crusoe can't be called a breeder bird as he has not successfully had any offspring. He is a wiero and he imitates the phone ringing, I used to have him in my shop and people would always look at me strangely and eventually ask if I was going to answer the phone. He also says "Hello gorgeous" and "Where"s my kisses"
My neighbours are a fair distance away but they already know that I am mad, luckily they are too. I talk to all my animals as I go around and all the wild birds and animals including the skinks and the christmas spiders who constantly put their webs across the paths.

I am concerned that monty is going to get sexually mixed up if Charlotte keeps calling him "Pretty Girl Monty" but thats about it. We have an Alex called Ellie that will bite you and then wolf whistle and say "Pretty Girl" when its the last thing you feel like calling her at the time.
