I've watched some of there dvd's and used some of there tricks with my eckie .. I must say its alot of fun to do the basic tricks they teach you on there birdtrick dvd's ... Even there basic training tips are handy to know and use ... There are some great parrot training videos out there. www.parrottricktraing.com I think is the website with some great stuff on there. If it doesn't work do a search for Tani Robar Parrot Trainer. It should show up. Training Your Parrot The Alex way is another good one that I've used with great success with my guys here. As for the Bird Whisperer.... If you're referring to Ken Globis then I wouldn't recommend anything that man does. This is just my opinion but the way I see it. Scaring a bird into submission is not a way to train it. I've seen the way this guy pulls and drags screaming birds from their cages and uses methods that to me, come across as cruel. If I were to use his methods on my birds in a public place you can be sure I'd be up on cruelty to animal charges. One of my dear Friends Jennifer in Los Angeles has a Bronze Wing Pionus. She had Mr Globis to her house. She actually asked him to leave as she didn't like the way he was treating her Bird. Needless to say that bird cannot be handled...even now 3 years later she still has alot of trust issues with that bird. Issues that were not present before Mr Globis got his paws on her bird. Sorry for the rant but I'm just not a fan of the bird whisperer at all. Others swear by his work but to me... there are more humane ways to get your bird to trust you. Ones that are more beneficial to the long term relationship that can develop between you and your feathered friend.

I'd probably ask them to leave as well if i didnt think they were handling my birds well enough ... I've had some people say they dont like the way birdtricks guys train there birds but i find there ways pretty good and easy ... My eckie who was given to me wouldnt even step up with out pinching me ... until i decided to go back to basics that birdtricks say and use the perches to step up etc .. Now he steps up onto my hand i'd say 9 times out of 10 without pinching me at all. I spoke to a bird whispers guy from the U.S here in australia ... Jesse James is his name www.birdwhisper.com is his site i think. He wasnt to bad offered to come to my house for a fee and said i was more then welcome to invite some of my friends along as welll. I havent done so as yet ... as i'm pretty busy with my business but hopefully early next year i may just invite him over .. Tho here in australia some other bird training people have opened up to the public ... they normally just train at zoo's and stuff ... I meet some of them at the pet expo they are feathered friends ... one of the guys has writen for aviary life ... there site is www.featheredfriends.com.auI hope one day i can offer some kind of basic training service to my customers .... but with the luck i'm having with my sun conure ...lately i think it will be wayyyyyyyyyy down the train for me

Yeah I've heard some bad reports about this guy also. I have looked at it a few times but not actually seen how he does things, just what I heard about him so really unsure I wanna try his stuff.

Ohhh this person??? Jesse James is his name www.birdwhisper.com? Sorry if i'm missing the convo somewhere ... i'm a bit blonde *Joke* I've meet Jesse a few weeks back ... he come across to me as a nice enough guy ... i had coffee with him and chatted abit about my bird behaviour problems ... He offered to come visit me for a cost ... and said for me to feel free to invite some of my friends along ... but i think i said that in my other posts .. But i have also been speaking with the team from feathered friends ... who do home visits etc ... and i think i may go with them in the new year ... Support australia businesses and all i guess ... I'm about to start some training with my sun conure that i've got off of Chad from "bird tricks" Fingers crossed i can get somewhere with alitle of there help .... But i do think ... its probably just easier to get everyone a go .. and see if ya like them or not .. seeing we dont have much choice here in AU
