I got a kestrel to look after today. She was hit by a car I think and has some weakness in her tail/rump area and is a bit unsteady on her feet. When she has had some rest and gets het strength and balance back she will be released. I have to feed her mice cut up into small peices (eeeeewwwwwwww it's a really gross job cutting them up). She ate a whole, cut up one tonight so there's nothing wrong with her appetite. When I can I'll post some pics. She is such a sweetie and has the most beautiful markings.

I am glad to see some people find a place for hurt birds... Most would just keep on walking or driving... Hope she makes a fully recoverer... Can't wait for photos...

Here is a couple of pics of her. They're not very good as I've only got a camera phone to use. This is one of the beautiful markings. This is a pic of her face. I had to hold her as she kept putting her little head down.

She is so beautiful! and so well behaved.....makes me wonder if things are ok with her. I thought she'd be in an aviary running amuck! I do hope you see her fly free soon
