HOw much do you guys think that red factor canaries are worth a pair... I went to get some today and they wanted 120 a pair. So was just curious if that is what they cost or is it too much.

I paid $65 for my male from a pet store, If they are from a breeder and are club rung then $120 is an OK price..... not saving much at all.

Yeh thats about right - they are so much more than the classic canaries. I have often admired the red's but decided to get a white pair instead - you can actually buy the 'red stuff' to put in their water to change their colour. Not sure if there is any difference between doing it that way or if the red factors are actually born that way (know what I mean)?
Does anyone know?

Red factor canaries are mostly colour frd these days.. that's what that bottle of stuff is for. If you don't give them that in their water before they moult and during your canary will loose its colouring. I was too late with Copper and now he's looking a little brassy (lol he has some yellow now) So it should in theory, help a coloured get come red in them! maybe
