Is my Turk a boy or girl?

Hello all,

Can anyone help me with Turquoise Parrot (or parakeet depending on the author...).

It was sold to me as a male, but I'm beginning to think it's a female as it doesn't have a red band over his wings. This could be due to his (or her) colour mutation or due to the fact that he is indeed a she.

Hmmm... I'm not sure about Turks... But maybe Amanda, Matt, Peter or Eagle can help you out...
