These very long awaited little bundles of fluff finally arrived on Monday 28th July. I was not expecting anything to hatch as it is the hens first time breeding season and the bitterly cold weather we had but she was a good mum and got a 100% strike on her first clutch. Very proud of mummy lol.
Here they are......
and a bit of sister/brother torment with foot in face...
Will post more pics in a few days when they have grown a bit more

LOL Thats great! We have one little baby rainbow in the nest at them moment! It's important to keep up the fruit and food to mum and dad whilst they have the bub's! Congratulations!

Trust me i know there great birds to keep and breed we have 16 pairs of lorikeets in 7 Colours
The Reword is well worth it !!!!

Thanks for the replies. Here are updated progress pics taken yesterday. Can anyone tell me why I have a Kojack lookalike there? I have checked him over and there is no damage, marking or anything to indicate that he is being picked on or plucked, so I am wondering if the fluffy feathers are making way for pins? Does anyone think that is it?

Hi Tasha Yes all the white fluff falls if them around the 10 day old mark and they become compleetly BALD (Like me) Then Grey Fluff will grow Then around 20 days of age pin feathers will start to pop through the skin around 4 weeks of agr the pin feathers will start to vbrake poen Any more Questions Please just ask

Oh kool so nothing to worry about. Thanks for that. *Update photos on my bubs.... 11 days old today They have started to open their eyes now. Too cute!! Tasha more updated photos..... When there were taken on Wednesday the chicks were 3 weeks and 2 days old. Their little feathers are popping through now and they are going great guns. Here they are.... Will take more again soon Tasha
