Hi this is Nikki and I understand the love of rescuing birds. Rescued a rainbow lorri that had been pushed out of the nest from Dalkeith (My brother was doing a gardening job) so I traveled for 40 mins in the car with 4 babies (kids) to get it. Had to do physiotherapy on its leg for 4 weeks so it could use it again. And it worked!!!! Did same for a cockateil called Billy and it worked for him too 5 minutes of work 4 times a day for 4 weeks!!! I now have a completely blind Red Rump!!! He is beautiful with red eyes and his body completely red and yellow spotted. The guy at the pet shop said it was because they had bred too much pearl into him. He had sat in a hospital box in one of the major bird shops in Perth for a year before he was given to me. He was wild and now sits on my lap or anywhere near me happily. He is a happy ever after story because we love him so much and he really needs us. Life has been pretty rotten to him so far. I have rehomed 2 pink and Greys that people havc brought to me. I feel good to have done me bit !!!! Lets all do what we can for our feathered friends
