Hi just a quick post to let you know we bought another beautiful ekkie hen on the weekend and we have named her Libby. She is about 3 years old and has fitted in very nicely with Monty, Charlotte and Joey. in fact Joey has been following her around the avairy ever since she joined them. All four birds are happy to sit together on the one perch too. She is semi-tame and apparently can talk a bit too although we havent heard too much from her yet. She came from Perth and we also got to admire the guys blue and gold macaws while we were there. They gave me a big blue tail feather which I have told Rob is the closest he is going to get to owning a macaw for a while! Also got to poke my head into a red-tail black cockatoo nest and see two fluffy little chicks hiding under their Mum. I hate doing the "up and back in one day" trips to perth as I end up driving for about 10 to 12 hours straight by the time I do the four hour up and four hour back trip with a few hours driving around Perth in the middle but Rob hates being seperated from his birds for too long. Partly my own fault too though 'cause I would rather drive than sit in the passenger seat. But it sure is worth it when we come back with another beautiful bird.

The guy with the Macaws lives out east of midland way. I Cant remember the suburb right now. I could give you his phone number if you were interested in meeting him Matt as we told him all about you and Peter and all your pets! I wouldnt give out his details online though, due to obvious security reasons but If you are interested then let me know and I will give him a quick ring first before passing on his details. One thing we thought was really cool was instead of a nest box they have converted a massive wine barrel for the Macaws. They look like real pirate birds! they also breed miniture horses and horses and have some conures etc as well. Jen
