What a cool way to set it all up. What is it you're using over the top of the tubs? Is it netting?

yeah it's netting that I bought at Wal Mart. It's actually a zipper netting bag. I leave it unzipped and if fits snug around the tubs.
Helps containg the shavings. I only have to sweep under there once or twice a day now.

Good setup mate, although I wouldn't like the noise at night, then again I tried to sleep in today on my day off and all I can hear is a screaming sulphur crest throught the walls, its grating! I guess thats what you get with birds anywhere.....

Good setup mate, although I wouldn't like the noise at night, then again I tried to sleep in today on my day off and all I can hear is a screaming sulphur crest throught the walls, its grating! I guess thats what you get with birds anywhere..... To be honest the noise bugs me at times but they usually shut up after a few moments. The only time it gets to me is when I feed at 2 - 3 am when I've got really young birds. The older babies hear the younger ones getting fed and then start up. Then the Cockatiels chime in and whine for 40 minutes after. It's during that 40 minutes when I'm trying desperately to get back to sleep before my alarm goes off 6am that it really gets to me. It's conveniant too I guess as it's only a few ft from the bed so I can hear them. I've got others living here right now and I simply don't trust them at all around my weaned babies and there isn't a hope in hell that I would have the set up in another part of the house where others have access to it. At least in here they can see them with me there.
