YAY we have had our first chickens hatch out of our incubator. so far we have 10 little fluff balls running around, out of 42. they are silkie X. they are soo cute, im soo excited just hope they rest hatch,but 10 is good for my first time. fingers crossed all gos well!!

Thats great! I remember our first incubator hatch years ago.....you learn so much through trial and error. Getting the temp and humidity right can be a bit hard, and then rearing. Make sure water dish is shallow, and they have enough heat. Now you need to get some pictures for us....he he he he

Well no more chicks hatch out, i cracked the rest of the eggs and there was only 3 chicks dead in shell, the rest were rotten. but at least i got some out and here they are!!!! ok the black ones are ancona X Silkie and all the rest are a wheaten wyandot bantam X silkie. my fav is the little buff one. i wish it was a purebred silkie. oh well. my grandma gets her pick of chicks then the rest will be sold when they get a little older.
