More random pics ... just for fun .... Here is a picture of Angel. I got her at Mundijong the last time I went - her and her 6 babies. Unfortunately we are now down to 2 babies after some rather unfortunate incidents - but she is happy and they are safe .... Angel is so named because she has "angel" wings. They are clipped at the moment. Here's the Huey & Louie with Donald .... And here is Buffy and her lil bub. After sitting on about 18 eggs for the required time only 1 hatched ( dunno why) .... they are so cute though the way they potter around the yard digging and scratching. When Buffy finds something good she makes a certain noise which signals to chickie to come get it. Nature really is amazing. And here is a pic of Frizzie my Fizzle and Ruby my Rhode Island Red hen ... Remember Ruby when she was just little and hatched from the incubator ... Here we have Esme, Audrey and Bluebell ... my pekin bantams. Matt - still sure they are all hens? ?

Phew ... I was getting worried about one of them gonna be a boy!! lol Why don't yours get along? Are they bantams? I don't know if that makes a difference. I guess with my chooks, all of the hens have been broody recently so they have taken on all the newbies like kids. And my ducks are just docile anyway - most of the time!! People come round and say how great it is that everyone gets along so well - the dogs, cats, chooks, ducks, rabbits, etc .... and its tru ... they all do! They have to or they are out!!!! lol I'm very pro letting everyone sort themselves out too! I only step in if it looks like there will be blood shed - otherwise they have to work out between them who's the boss and who's the b*tch! Actually just this arvo Poppy (the kitten) came flying out of the bushes hot on the heels of Josephine (OEG chook) who was squawking and carrying on .... well on the way back it was Josephine trying to nip Poppy on the butt! They work it out

Sparkles....They are all gorgeous....
Gotta ask..are you on a big block??...
Saw the 10 beddies and had to hold back..Louisa saw them and said we should get a drake for MiMI.....I dunno......MiMI has the run of the yard and I dont think I could handle two quakers sh*tting under the patio..MiMi sits at our back door when she can..just waiting to be let inside..we dont but I think given the chance she'd be in like Flynn...
LMAO

I've got just under 1000sqm ... 1/4 is the tiny house - the rest is land! I hear you on the dodging duck poop .... I just figure if I gotta hose off for one then whats a few more lol You can have one of the older babies if you like? Can't tell if they are male or female yet, but either way it will get along with Mimi! Its funny actually - George, just in the past couple days, sits on the back door step staring in the house. Its really strange. I opened the door to see if he would actually come inside and he walked away. I closed the door and he came back onto the step .... ... strange creatures .... lol

Mine are just biaches, they are RIR X's and austalorps. But two are still "chicks" so the older ones beat nine shades out of them...One had a ripped ear hole so they are still in a tub, downstairs where I don't have to smell them. They trash the tub in 5 seconds!

lol d**n ... don't you hate that!!
Maybe it is different with Bantams. Are your's free range? Mine all have run of the yard so I think that helps - those with PMT can stay away from the others if need be. They get a bit stressed out if I lock them in their shed for any reason and I really don't know what would happen if they were in there too long.
How old are your chicks now?

LOL Peter you bully! They'd have to be well over a month old now. My girls get locked up for their protection! I know they won't go far but it's what will come in that worrys me. I put the two youngest out in a makeshift wire pen that I actually made for the guineapigs, the guineas never sit still in it and they get so hot they start drooling (like dogs pant) so I don't take them out in this humid weather. They both go mad running around like idiots with their wings out in the space!
