Apparently it is illegal to feed live food, well live vertabrate food. I am pretty sure. doesn't stop people. Ill ask matt but I remember him saying they have to kill all food before it gets fed to the animals at the zoo. They get crates and crates of little baby chickens from hatcheries that are all roosters and they get gased. I hav mixed feelings about the live food feeding. I feel its best to feed dead when possible, but live if the animal being fed will only eat live meat.

It isn't illegal in QLD to sell mice and rats for food. Our reptile food is gassed before it is frozen, the rodent breeders do it. That's why our frozen are more expensive than the live. I only sell the nasty ones that wont make good pets as food. If someone comes in and wants food and we only have friendly pets I will not sell them to them as food!
