Thought I would put a couple of pictures of my new set up since moving to Newman... I only have 2 aviaries now... sold the little aviary... I have the Budgie aviary (soon to be the Eclectus Aviary) and the Princess Parrot aviary (double sided)... Josh and I recently put on a water system on the aviaries, as it gets very hot here... Poor Babies... I have decided to breed the budgies indoors in the spare room to help keep the adults and babies cooler and less likely to die of heat... When the babies leave the nest they will join the other outside till they are sold or I decide to keep them... LoL Oh and I am finding the seed is getting soaked... does anyone have any idea on how to stop it (except for turning the water system off ) or a good seed holder product... Thanks for all ur help... Enjoy... ;D

Your setup looks great. Yeah the heat up there is pretty intense.

Yep, I hate the weather here... yuck ... The water comes on every hour for 1min... Plenty of time for them to get wet and they are loving it ... 6 sprays in the budgie aviary and 2 on each side of the double sided aviary... soon to be 3... Maybe...

Well LB i place my watering system at the oppersite end of the seed so i have never incured this problem
you could alwayts cover the seed buy putting a sheet of tin / colourbond about 100mm above the seed dish to keep the water off !!

My friend that has ECCYs (Shelly) had the same problem so i put plywood (no tin available at the time ) over the dish and it worked for them !!!
