Well mum & I took a drive to Smiley's yesterday up in Tiaro, nice to finally meet her. Met her dogs & some gorgeous too's & corella's - especially the corella who nicked mum's earring ;D we got the earring back but lost the backing hehe. Smiley gave mum a gorgeous peachface that mum named Sam & she gave me a pretty little budgie that I named Turbo as she is always on the move a thousand miles an hour! and never stops begging for food Got some great pics for you to enjoy - the 2 of them are fast friends already. They just had a feed so are wearing a bit of food. Turbo: Sam in "his" favourite spot - mum's cleavage: Standoff? nah! they love each other: Naughty children! told you it was time for a nap!

GRRRR! Turbo has Rockets for wings! and she's a worm! She wriggles out of my grasp when feeding her and nicks off and I've got to chase her down! She's a little pig too! I've cut her down to 2 big feeds a day & after her morning feed until her evening feed I have put her in with a family of budgies who happily accept her. She has to find her own food as she doesn't realise she can beg from the father who'd happily feed her. The mother gave Turbo a full preen on the first day. Haven't seen the mum out - think she's laying again.
Sam is very placid - so much so in fact that I have to fight him to get him to eat!

I only feed Turbo once a day now - she spends her time with a family Jnr Boss, 3 of his girls and his missus who doesn't mind this interloper at all (she's a good mum).
I had to bring in another baby (green & yellow pied) for raising as his parents just stopped feeding him for no reason - they didn't want to nest again. Maybe they know something isn't 'right' with him as despite my efforts I'm going to lose him. He's about 7 weeks old now and can't fly, he's so light he 'floats' down to the ground. If he's still with us tomorrow I'll try him on some Aloe water.
Sam is doing really well and can fly - not well but he's practicing. He flew from the cage over to mum tonight - first time he's voluntarily come out of his cage by himself.
