Jen, Those mustache are awesome. Best of luck breeding them. Had the chance to purchase 3 breeding pairs last November. Kicking myself for not getting them

I took Andre and Macca out to my Mums today and stopped at the bird park on the way and the girls there just adored Macca and kept clucking all over him. The interesting thing was that the owners both immediately said that while he is more than likely out of a sun conure pair they were absolutely positive that somewhere in his gene pool there is some nanday conure in there. They also said they were pretty positive that Andre is a girl so it will be interesting to see if that turns out to be true. Lol! i was just reading threw some old post and i found this one funny, as Jen knows i couldnt stand that old...."bat".... at that bird park! 2 put it nicely, and i said macca wasnt crossed, and i had an idea andre was gonna be a boy. Sure enough there both alot older now, and macca is a stunning little pure sun conure boy (theres nothing showing otherwise in him) And as for Andre, OMG!! iv just come up 2 Perth for the w.e 2 pick up my 2 baby boys, and his ring is AMAZING!!! His feeling so solid now, his ring has gone all the way round and its really dark and vibrant! deffinatly a boy! hahaha! ill get to try get pix!

Yes not many people had much nice to say about the Albany Bird Park owners back then. The funny thing is we have got to know them now and bought all their unused excess weldmesh from them for a tiny fraction of the price of new. Also heaps of really good avairy doors for $10 each where it would cost about $80 to make them the same. They also gave us a couple of avairies, heaps of ABK bird books, 10 years worth of Australian Birdkeeper and other bird magazines and also quite a bit of handrearing equipment! Also sold us Joey who is a handraised Ekkie very cheap. Once you get to know them that are actually quite nice people with a load of advice to offer. I would not have thought that of them until getting to know them better. Jen
