Only problem being is Oscar won't let her or any other bird near him! Any ideas? or will he just get used to being with her?? If I go in the aviary they both want to be on me and he gets cranky at her and chases her off me They ae getting moved into a suspened aviary of their own soon so hopefuly that will improve things a bit? They are both breeding age, so fingers crossed

Maybe he just needs time to adjust to having a girl, someone new around...

Hi Nat The problem is that Oscar was bonded to you as most pet birds do wot you need to do is not spend much time with him at all and over time he will bond to the hen When you go to put them in to there new suspended set it up with the box and everything else before you you put the hen in . Then put the Hen in and give it a couple of days before you introduce the Cock (OSCAR) Then you will be introducing the cock in to the hens terratory and this should help with the bonding process P.S I know its hard but you MUST cut right back the time you spend with Oscar if you wish him to bond to the hen and breed for you !!!!!
