Hi Guys These are my new pair of Turquoise Green Cheeks. I'm hoping for a pair of Cinnamon Turquoise soon. I'll need to sell some birds first before that happens though. I've added a pic of our Blue & Gold Pair in their new flight. Their flight is going under the carport we're putting together as are our Hahns Macaws & Amazons ( if they're not too noisy )

LOL tell me about it. We have a large 2 car garage which we've made into a bird room, At the moment we've got all our Green Cheek Pairs ( 6 I think ), Maroon Bellied, Halfmoon, Sun COnures & White Bellied Caiques in there. The Macaws are out side as are our Senegals, Meyers African Ringnecks, Lovies, Tiels & Rosy Bourkes. Our Scarlet Chest & Lutino Elegants are indoors also.
Most are going out when the weather warms. Theres' been snow in the mountains & plenty of Frost here each morning. Our birds outback are weathered already but the indoor ones aren't.
The Carport should be done tomorrow hopefully.

How many birds would you have Justin??? Too many lol. Seriously for our pets, We have: Rico: Blue & Gold Macaw Bandit: African Grey Vincent: African Grey Riley: Mollucan Cockatoo I have 4 others who were given to us but they were pretty crazy when they came here and after working with them for 7 months we still haven't had much luck taming them. So they've been paired up. One was a White Bellied Caique male. He and his hen are actually sitting on fertile eggs right now. As for breeders we the following: Blue & Gold Macaws: 1 pair Hahns Macaws: 3 pairs, 1 extra hen plus 3 more pairs if all goes to plan White Bellied Caiques: 2 pairs White Front Amazons: 2 Pairs 1 extra male Solomon Island Eclectus: 1 pair Sun Conures 2 pairs Halfmoon Conures: 1 pair Green Cheek Conures: 7 pairs Maroon Bellied Conures: 1 pair African Ringnecks: 3 pairs plus 3 single hens Senegals: 5 pairs, 1 extra hen Meyers: 1 pair, 1 extra male Brown Heads: 1 pair Cockatiels: about 25 birds Lovebirds: 5 - 6 pair Pacific Parrolets: 15 pairs Green, Blue, American Yellow, Lutino & Albino Scarlet Chested Grass Keets: 4 pairs including Cinnamon & Par Blue Elegants: 1 Lutino Pair Rosy Bourkes: 6 pair Yellow Turquoisines: 3 pair plus a who bunch of mutation zebra finches. I think that about covers it. Probably left out a pair of two of something.... Justin.

LMAO Jules Well yes I would certainly say you had a few ... Do you ever find that every now and then you wake up at 6am when its -7 outside and go "d**n I wish I didn't have to feed the birds" ...?? My guys are well all well trained ... week days are standard and routine because I get up for work. Weekends vary ... if they don't get fed first thing ... then it goes from being breakfast to lunch lol ... to sometimes dinner!! lol They have learnt to expect it Although thats not babies - they are all adults!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the other week when it got to -7C overnight. All the water dishes were frozen solid. Icicles( spelling???) would form on my hands lol when cleaning the water dishes. I've got a routine which helps and I get them all fed pretty quickly. Cage cleaning is a total BOBBA though. When the 24ft flight we have out back is taken down the cleaning will be cut in half. If I dare miss a feeding the Hahns & Blue Gold Macaws get quite vocal. My African Grey Bandit will say "What are you doing?" if I take too long getting his breakfast together. Alot of work but I wouldn't change it for the world.
