yeah good idea jen, pearl would be good for the job coz she wouldnt put up with his crap if he tried 2 attack her hahaha! ;D But just after i posted this, jake actualy came into the comp room and baz went phyco at him again.... as he does But this time jake put his jumper down oer his arm and held it 2 baz, and baz was like a phyco attack dog! the way they grab something and shake there head! But after jake backed off a little baz would turn his back on jake, "kiss" my cheek and rub against me, then turn back around again and contuinue threatning and attacking jake, he did this continuely untill jake left, and baz settled down after a few mins and went back 2 being a smootch!

Perhaps Baz thinks you are his girl and is trying to protect you? He is a stunning bird!! You are doing realy well with him so far!! Keep up the great work and he will settle down I'm sure (says the woman with a phyco lorri that cant be handled anymore!) LOL!!!

Hi again Holly, I think perhaps he was mistreated by a man in the past, birds have long memories and they do hold a grudge over time, he will continue to take it out on men his whole life probably if the damage was bad enough. I suggest that if you really want Jake to bond with him, he be the only one to give Baz a treat of any kind. He should give him fruit and peanuts and you can do the regular things like seed and water. This way he may accept Jake as a treat bearer and associate him with good things instead of bad past memories. It also sounds like he is forming a strong bond with you, almost like a pair bond and this could be problematic when you introduce a new bird. I suggest being really careful with other birds around him, especially if they are on you. I have seen how nasty suns can be, mine almost killed Tibor one day, and that is not a joke! If you do get a hen as a mate I suggest a really long introduction period, fist separated in separate rooms, then move the cages into the same room, every day moving the cages slightly closer together until they are side by side. After time I would then let them out at the same time and see how they interact on neutral territory, like a chair or table or something. Never leave them alone until you are sure they interact without aggression, they can be very spiteful toward each other. I hope he settles and calms down a bit more soon for you. He will still be a little overwhelmed after the treatement he suffered at the pet store. Good luck!

yeah im kinda scared 2 bring in a hen, but that was the main reason i got him was 2 use him as a breeder later on Also im kinda becoming more and more scared 2 bring him outta the cage, he keeps randomly attacking everyone including me! thank god jen cut his wings or he would be alot worse then he is! I had him on my shoulder 4 about an hr and 1/2 the other day b4 he decided 2 have a go at my neck, outta nowhere!! i was just sitting there on the comp doing nothing diff, i brought him out last night coz my bro had a party out back, and i didnt want baz near all those boys, and he was fine with me! untill this morn wen i went 2 gie him sum fruit he had a go at my fingures His definatly gonna b an aviary bird no matter what

I am really sad to hear that he isnt realy getting any better, I know how determined you have been. And I know it must be disapointing for you to. I am the same with my lorry Kieko, he scares me too much to have him out anymore, and he was one of the tamest little guys around!! Could lie him on his back and tickle his belly and everything! Now he lunges at you when you try to put your hand in the cage!! Maybe witha bit more time he might settle? :-/I hope so

na his just like wot ur lorie sounds like, and im 2 scared of him 2 bring him out aswell, i dont wonna risk loosing an eye for him Im putting him up on bird auction, he would muuuch beter suit an aviary. and im not gonna b getting one 4 awhile without my job. so i think its beter if i sell him, i feel AWFUL tho! iv only had the poor thing 4 a week, and his been threw soo much. But im sick of him attacking me, then i have 2 go back and explain 2 my mum that he just needs time (she HATES him with a passion )
