I got home from work Friday and the weeros had got out of their cage .... how they got it open is still a mystery, as its one of those turn, slide, up then down and slide again type ones ... but 4 of them were out sitting on the rabbit hutch - but Alfie was gone. He had a few feathers grow back so could get a little height when he tried .... I searched either side of my place, at the back, and wandered round the block with Whoopi chirping to hopefully make him call out ... no luck Got up this morning and there he was ... under the back verandah .... trying to get back onto the cage ... bless ;D He is looking a little worse for wear ... and has been feather plucking .. but he will be ok ...

I was so glad hey ... I am very attached to little Alfie! Although secretly I think Whoopi may have been glad he had gone - he was kind of the castle again!!! lol

Oh poor little Alfie! Bet he's happy to be home safe and sound. Scooter my grey tiel got out to the other week when I had them outside, lucky I was right there and getting ready to bring them in for the night!! He was running around on top of his cage, I had to catch him. He didnt have his wings clipped either so could have easily taken off!

I have had a few fly off now ... (you would think I would have learnt ... : ... but in the past they haven't been very loyal and I have never seen them again. It helps tho that the other four are noisy buggers - and he probably heard them to find his way back. The weeros are quite clever like that!!
