Haha, now that is addicted, from none to 60 in the space of five minutes!! LOL. Great looking birds Nat, is that green cock a split? I also think the hen would be a greygreen, but not 100% sure.

I agree the hen is a grey-green. we have one too They are a very easy bird to collect! I have read that the colour possibilitys are as endless as budgies given time. So it is a breed that will continue to get more and more different colours as time goes on.
good luck, looking forward to hearing how your breeding season goes next year. Do you have any nest boxes in with them at the moment? It might not be too late as we still have some going down now.

I dotn have any nest boxes in, I want to get some in though. The greens have apparently been mating before I got them! How are they are being in a large aviary together to breed?? The guy I bought them from had 3 pairs in a tiny avairy ! I thought it was horrible! so they are used to being with each other. And they were mating and breeding in there. My avairy they are in at the moment is about 3mt x 1.5 x 2high. I would say you are right about the greygreen hen. And I dont know if the green cock is split why do you ask that Matt? I think the blue is a cock?? I can kind of see a faint ring maybe only young still??

We had 4 pairs and a few extras in together plus a pair of alexs in together and they bred ok with no fighting. Probably not the ideal situation but best we could do until we move house next year.
