Nice coloured bird isnt it? I heard that the violet mutation inherits dominantly? If this is correct I should think there will be many about over the next few years.

eagle the price was much more then that. talk went around that the first birds sold for $50 000, but i was told that 1-3, not sure how many were sold, but they went for 45 000. bloody lots but not the most that someone wanted for a pair of birds.

cool but there a a few around at the moment i know of 7 people that breed them and one of them said that this season there around the $10,000 a bird (un less the guy i spoke to got it rong but he has 3 pairs that produce the violet)
i know the first albino green cheek in Australia and poss the world was swapped for a pair of mature breeding green wing macaws 2 years ago (i wonder how much the green wings were worth then)?

no this year thats how much they will probably will be. and a breeding pair of greenwings would of probably worth about $30 000, i would say. now the most important question is can you optain a, or some pictures of these birds. i'm not asking you to tell everyone who owns these birds (not that i wouldn't want to know). this is the first time that i have heard that there is any albino green checks in the country. i know a guy who has some blue one's, but i wasn't sure that there were any lutino green checks in the country?

Meaning you can get both SF (single factor) and DF (double factor) SF Violets are often confused with Cobalts because they are dark blue, if you breed 2 of these together you get DF Violets which are the 'true' Violets, so to speak
