Matt came home from work yesterday, and Tibor was sitting outside of his cage (on top)!!! but here is the scary bit...............ALL OF HIS DOORS WERE STILL LOCKED! This is his cage: www.echidnashop.com/ps-16-3-8324-large-aviary.aspxwhen I came home for lunch he was still in his cage happy as Tibor! Lucky I had cut his wings a few days before!

Firstly.... are you sure you didn't leave him out by mistake? ? I have had one of my birds do that but it was only out for a minute before we walked outside and found the horror harassing my canaries on top of their cage! Keep a close eye on him, some cockies learn from watching you!

I have to tell you Peter this happened to me not too long ago, Harry my Sulpher Crested, opened the door of his cage that was held closed by a spring loaded clip, so i thought I would put a pad lock on the door but made the mistake of leaving the key in the lock, you guessed it he unlocked the cage in about 30 seconds flat and went for a walk around the house talking and chasing the cats and dogs around the house.......clever birds.

Amazing how clever they are!!! I had a scare this morning with Kieko my lorrie! I left him outside last night thinking it is cooler outside for him. When I went out to feed and water him and he had undone one of the doors, it is soo lucky he didnt get out!!

LOL Amanda, my friend has a parrot store over here and she one of the gals that worked for her had a Goffins Cockatoo that would pick the lock on the canaries cage - she would then let the canaries out, hop on in and eat their seed.
