Has anyone elses crew been through quite a bad molt this year? My guys finished a few weeks ago and I reakon I could have put together a doona with all the mess they made!! Here is my boy Basil. It is mainly noticable on his head - he still hasn't lost all the black lines on his body though. I've read up and its common for them to be stress lines - but he is soooooooo not a stressy bird. Is it possible that he could just have that condition in general? Any thoughts are appreciated. BEFORE / DURING AFTER SAFF AND BAS

Yeah some of my birds had it real bad, especially the poor canaries They still haven't started to whistle yet, it's been that bad for them. Basil has turned into such a hansome little man! Still noticably smaller than her royal highness LOL

hahahaha - yes - the little princess!! She certainly is! All she is missing is her crown - the queen has borrowed it to open the commonwealth games tonight Yeh Bas has come up lovely - but you are right, quite a bit smaller. He is a brilliant little bird though. So affectionate and friendly and just loves to follow me around. Actually he has been spending quite a bit of time with Madison too (puppy dog in my pic). I have a feeling though that I am going to have to trim his lower mandible - his upper one is starting to go crooked because its worn down on one side and not the other. If anyone can offer advice on trimming it would be appreciated!

My birds moulted pretty bad, the plum heads lost all their tail feathers and so did my princess hen (princess parrots just look wrong without their tails)
