Sorry I copied and pasted the wrong piece of info ahaha
What I meant to say was:
Is there any way of sexing sun conures? Colour? Size? Is one more aggressive? Etc? (apart from DNA of course)
Sorry again! ļ

I think DNA & egg laying is the only real way to know. I've heard there are other ways to visually sex them but they're not always right. My sun was a male until he laid an egg LOL

Hi Lovemyeckys
The only way to be 100% sure of the sex is to DNA or sergical sex it as both cock and hen look the same and vary on colour the same way

Hi Lovemyeckys The only way to be 100% sure of the sex is to DNA or sergical sex it as both cock and hen look the same and vary on colour the same way You're absolutely right Mark. All our Sun Conures we get surgically sexed. Here in the US all birds that are surgically sexed are tattooed. Males on the right female on the left under their wings. I prefer surgically sexing over DNA. Only because when getting birds surgically sexed the vet overseeing the proceedure can look for other problems that may exist with the birds reproductive organs and see if the bird is viable for breeding. Many people say they can visually sex Suns but in my opinion I think it's next to impossible.
