We have had some really hot weather and my kak hen couldnt handle it and forgot to feed her babies. Luckily we saved one out of the three who is only 6 days old and is now cuddled up with a baby cockatiel and is feeding really well. Looks like it should be a cinnamon pied too.

Poor little babies! At least you saved one, hope it does well for you. I am worried about how my birds are going to handle this summer. it is already getting hot here!! and i cant use the hose to hose them down witht he water restrictions

The little one unfortuanatly was just too young and was having trouble digesting due to mum not feeding it for so many hours.

Oh Bad luck, Thats Nature for you though I suppose we have had a few problems this year with Mums leaving the nest too. Not because of the heat but something has upset them. Luckily some have gone back down after removal of their eggs so hopefully we get a few more babies

Bubbles it may be useful to consider splitting the pair and repairing them with a different mate. This sometimes helps stop them as they may not be that compatible together.
