It has been a lovely afternoon ... it went very overcast and was threatening to rain ... lovely weather for chook watching!!! Here is my little girl Dixie - she is so little - but definately the head of the group!! And this is Jojo - she is my loyal little follower and will come to me willingly! And this is Kiki ... And Buffy ... And Freckles ... And long legged Stella!!

Thanks guys .... I reakon they are pretty cute too!! LOL
Nope - no more eggs - well none that I can find anyway. I have been waking up every morning to that painful, squeezing watermelon out of nostril, type noise they make when laying - but its too hard to get out of a nice warm bed to look. My nephew is coming around Friday - I will just tell him its easter and he has to find the eggs .... LOL
Hmmm .. this afternoon Freckles spun around on the spot about 3 times ... on 2 occassions .. like she was having an episode of some sort. Should I be concerned ... or amused (it was rather funny). I was approaching her at the time, and I'm pretty sure if she could have clicked her fingers to disappear she would have!

one of my evil gremelins makes that "I'm laying" noise to get my attention so I will come out tell them to shut up and walk away. I swear she does it to irritate me!

And they reakon chooks are dumb - haha OK well I found the nest. Its where my bigger girls used to nest. Its not tall enough to walk under - and having been unused for months now it is full of spider webs .. oh and HUGE spiders! I think those eggs will be staying there somehow ....

Well someone cleaned out the nest for Belinda now! That stunk badly. Is little grey speckled one still brooding in there now or has she given it up?

No she is now off the nest. When the boys came Monday for the aviary Brad went in and got her off the remaining eggs she had found and I locked her in the pen overnight and now she is back in with the crew and laying eggs in the box!
If she goes clucky again I might give her a couple chics when they hatch!!
