Now here is something interesting I learnt about the Muscovy Ducks - they don't quack!! They hiss .... but generally only when alarmed / scared / etc!
I also have learnt that they prefer to roost high in trees and aren't as big "water birds" like most ducks!
They are also brilliant fly catchers - which is a good thing considering the amount they crap .... the flys will surely be around!
So there you go ......!!

Wow you learn soemthing new everyday!! I thought all ducks quacked,LOL just goes hand in hand really ... duck says not hiss,LOL

do you want to know something even more interesting about them?
THEY ARE NOT ACTUALLY DUCKS! They are more closely related to geese than ducks, and have a totally different number of chromosomes to each! When a "duck" and a muscovy breed that produce infertile mules!
