These two were born at my house yesterday. They are Gold/Lilac Argente Rex Cavy babies. Photos taken a couple of hours after birth. ;D Mother and babies are well. This is the dad a few months ago. He is also a Gold/Lilac Argente. This is the mum who is a Golden Agouti and Gold Rex.

Sort of there is a MASSIVE rabbit problem up here so im told and that is the reason why but i have some very well made and expensive hutches that can be looked up and there is no way for them to escape they are entirely made out of gal and we had some real nice breeding stock in sydney my wife miss them very much but i might get her some guinepigs soon

Yeah, go with cavies if you want something small and furry. I wouldn't be tempted to keep a rabbit in Qld. The fine went from $3000 up to $30,000. Unbelievable and certainly not worth the risk!!!

You can have rabbits in QLD.... you can get a license from QPWS. You can only keep them for meat, they must be meat breeds and you must keep a log of culls for meat etc........ not the kind of thing for lops and angoras etc. But when I moved up here if my Niff was still alive I was going to smuggle her up! Wasn't going to leave her behind for quids
