what type of bones are they? I know big breeders give their too's and some other parrots chicken bones every now and then to chew on. And I used to give my alex's those dog chew bones that are suppose to be treats and last for hours. They never had any broplems with them

I would think that so long as they aren't bones that can splinter you should be ok .. same principle as dogs (no cooked chicken bones, etc)!
Peter .... yeh my guys like the dog rawhide bones / sticks!! Actually they often use them in a lot of bird toys!!

I agree, a little meat provides loads of extra protein for birds, and the larger parrots will often go for it. My Indian Ringnecks will eat mice.

its funny because the bone is a cows femur..so you can imagine how big it is and he dances around it and chews on it...but when ever i go to video it he stops and runs away

Actually B it's the complete opposite for birds. They must be well cooked to ensure no food poisioning etc and you give them a bit of meat on the bones too. Birds don't woof down their food like dogs do so splinters don't affect them. EEWWWW Matt... your ringines are gross!
