Looks good B! The birds will really like the extra room, I like how the budgies and canaries are all on the ground! Mine always do the same when they go into dirt floor aviaries, they love eating stuff in the soil. I am glad Milo thinks he runs the place! how has his wing healed?

LOL ... yeh I love watching them dig around in the soil!! I'm not sure about Milo's wing ... it's almost like its "dead" if you know what I mean. I haven't seen him extend it ... or even attempt to move it. Yesterday he grabbed onto it with his beak and was pulling ... like he just wanted to pull it off. Apart from that he seems ok. I am still keen to get another 28 to share his cage with him. He actually spent the better part of this afternoon sitting with the weeros so obviously likes the company.

Crackers, the 28 I have, only has half a wing on one side as the other half fell off a while after he was injured so depending on the injury and how it's healed it may just drop off.
B there was several 28s in the quokka this week.

It may be a little sore still B, especially if he falls on it sometimes. Hopefully it will heal with a false joint and he may be able to stretch it, but he will never fly proper again.

Yeh no more flying for poor Milo boy ... thats ok though .. I have put so many branches in his cage he can climb just about anywhere he wants! Cool thanks Jules ... I will check out the quokka! Well its not all good news either ... my male Cordon Bleu and female African Fire both died .. one last night one the night before. I don't know if it is the cold or the move thats stressed them out.

they look great...nice having more room for your birds it always makes me feel content seeing them in larger aviaries. Sorry about your finches, they can be so climate sensitive. With milo's wing, we had a galah that had a broken wing and she used to walk on it and everything...it was kinda horrible to watch... where she had came from they had her on the bottom of the aviary with no way to climb to a perch....they treated her like a quail it was horrible.
