Well done Eagle! They look excellent. Thanks for posting the steps you take to build I think many of us will find that useful in the future. Good luck with the breeding of those green cheeks in there now!!

I wouldn't have thought too big would have been a problem.

eagle, if your going to go for a smaller size, then i would make them 2.0mtrs long. and a little hit that i hope that you will use. i would personaly make a small safety walkway behind each new cage. i myself have never lost a bird, and i believe this is because i have a safety walkway incorpirated in my avairys. i have birds flying past every now and then. i say this because years ago when i was going to make suspended cages the 2 i had didn't have a safety and when ever i had to catch the birds or cange the water or seed, i would be stressed out weather they'id get out. i just would like to here that your birds got away.

My birds are pritty good they fly up to the far end and im very quick toy do wot ive got to do change the water and seed I built them that was because it was cheaper than buying one and it would cost me around $300 - $400 to build safety area for them both and I cant afford that at the moment ( tin is so expensive) But if the opportunity orrises to get one or make one I will

A bit of a tip on tin ect, hae yu tried your local dump?? Can pick it up heaps cheap!!!! Thats what I am planning to do when I can afford to start building my avairies. most of it is still realy good!! And I know where you re coming from fox with the escapees!! I have had a few budgies escape when the door is open even a slight bit!! I am stressed about my red rumps and my kaks getting out all the time! I cant wait to have a decent avairy!!
