It looks like my Hen has rejected the babies. She is sleeping out of the box. Do I leave them? it's a little warm but no more than the previous couple of days. If so Until I can get some hand raising mix what would be good to feed them? so upset about this

are you sure she has left them? they may be big enough by themselves now? especially if it is hot are they warm and do they have food in their crops already? if not, a desperate hand rearing mix can consist of wheat bix and water!!!!

they are about 10 days. They have pin feathers and downy fluff. They are very responsive and didn't like me peekin in the box. I'll check their crops but I was woried because they are rather young

I have known hens to leave the nest mora and more at around that age, if they are still warm (which they may be in ur temp) then the mum would have left so her heat didnt kill them, remember they only need to be warm, not hot. and if they have food in the crop i would leave them. so only if theres food and they are warm! if they hiss at you they'd seem happy you'd think

No hissing just that baby cry, like all birds make. Tiels do it when they see mum and ask for food these guys do it when I disturb them! They had full crops when I checked on them this afternoon

They are doing really well. I posted some updated pics of them in the bird section. They are sooo cute!
