;DHere they are, the latest addition to my growing redrump collection! I am unsure of what some of them are so a bit of help would be very much appreciated!  My pair of blues??   This is another pair I got, Im not sure of what the hen is?? (blue-green pied maybe?)   The cock is I think just opaline?(for some reson the pic has gone off photo bucket sorry) Hre are the babies of the above two. I am unsure of mutation and sex of these guys.   This last one is a cranky little thing I had to separate it from the last two! They are all siblings.   Ok would I be right in saying that I have there, two opaline cocks(dad being opaline), and the other one is the same as mum, what ever she is?? Just trying to test my knowledge,LOL |

ok No 1 and 2 are blues 3 looks like an opaline and a pied opaline, as is 4. the last looks like an opaline too

PIED MUM? the dad is an opaline The bird in picture four with it's back turned is an opaline (I am pretty sure it is female, but not 100%) split Pied The next bird is a pied (does it have red in it at all?) It may be a pied opaline hen (95% sure it is) opaline hen split pied Dad must be split to pied to have produced a pied baby. All of their babies that are not pied will be split to pied, as mum is pied. sorry if I am wrong, but i am sure i am close! |

Thanks Peter thats what Oaklee has told me to, so you must be right :Dexcept the pied baby, he said it maybe a cock? And it has no red in it, but said it is opaline pied as is mum. Unfortunatly when I went out shopping this morning I came home and found the first opaline baby had escaped from her avairy  !! I could hear her in the tree above but couldnt see her, then she took off! Lucky I came home when I did though cause the little pied opaline was trying to get out where the other one had gotten out! I have patched up the culprit hole now  !! |

:(No return unforunatly. I just hope it is ok and has maybe taken up with some other birds. There are alot of karawongs around here so I dont like that thought at all!!! It did take off with some lorys last I saw it.
