Thanks to Peter buying a ewe and lamb at Mundijong a while back and recently the council dropping off some unwanted sheep here we now have 5 sheep. The black faced one is the ram Graham, he had an article in the local paper as he was found running free in the middle of suburban Spearwood, we will now keep him. The two with long wool at right were found near our house running free and will stay here 2 months and if not claimed we keep them. The other standing and looking away is the mum Peter brought at the markets and her lamb is laying down behind Graham.

Oh look at the lamby. What will you do with the fleece? Does anyone you know do spinning?

We have organised a guy to come and shear them out of the quokka, he is also going to drench them and give them a 5 in 1 injection. I think he will take the fleece with him. We are thinking of just keeping them to eat down the areas the horse cannot get to instead of mowing it. Long grass is too dangerous for snakes in summer around here.

yeah, It died before this picture was taken. It was one of the really wooley ones. It had been running free for about 3 weeks the ranger thinks, and had only been eating grass. Then graham broke into my goats feed shed, and opened the feed bins and let all the sheep guts themselves on grain. That can be very bad for them as they get grain toxicity, which kills them. Poor old girl.

Graham is the worst little bugger, he decided to come down near the house yesterday when I left the gate open, a mate was over having a drink after work and suddenly this black headed ram appears and walks into the shed and looks into the sink, etc, etc. Thinks it runs the place.
