Very nice Amanda, I have wanted rainbows for a while now, how do they go with goldfish? I have seen a few years back some really pretty red ones? Dont know what sort theywere, but they were gorgeous!!!

They are a school fish. I'd be cautious of putting other fish with goldfish mainly because goldfish fins are very delicate and goldfish are dirty fish. With rainbows once they get an infection it is very difficult for them to recover and most of them don't. That's why I'm not replacing the Angelfish that die, they carry too many illnesses. As for the pictures I have a Cannon 300D. I always use it as a manual SLR so I can get the better quality. It also helps that I've done photography too. You can tell in this house who takes the photo's..... Shane's are hopeless!. Try (if you can) standing relatively close to the tank and zooming in on your subject. That tends to help with the flash cause it happens outside of your picture. I also edit my pics buy cutting out all the irrelevant bits on the outside of my pictures. The red rainbowfish I'd say is the Salmon red ( members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Glossolepis.htm ) that picture is an impressive adult! I'd love to have some of them but then I'd need another tank, then I've got to try and order them.... too much hassle
