Good work Mark, they should be good in the aviary, wild caught ones are usually so restless in captivity it is distressing watching them.

Thanks Matt
Well they went in to there new aviary today with the pure 28 parrots
The aviary they went in to is a 2 bay conventional i put the 28 parrots on the Laft and the Red Caps on the right im just hoping that the wire will hold them as it is so fine i think ill have to put a heavier gage on it as it is under 1.3 gage Wel just have to see how it goes
Ill post pics next weekend

Mark I have kept red caps and 28s in light gauge wire without dramas before. But I still recommend heavier gauge incase they suddenly decide that eating through it is fun, those beaks are very destructive, on both species!

it's amazing just how destructive a birds beak can be.
A lady on a bird group I'm on over here was telling us today that she caught her Mollucan Cockatoo pulling 2 padlocks apart today. He literally just lifted them out even though they were locked in place.

Woohoo, cool Mark, 2 pairs is better than one! And yes Justin, I have seen what cockatoo and Macaw beaks can do, the blue and golds at work split Macadamia nuts like they are almonds.......thats scary.
