Now thats just taking it toooo far Peter, Just How jealous are you trying to make us here!!! Oh well at least we will be able to drool over it. It's bad enough seeing all Justins beautiful birds, at least with him, he's in another country and we can say oh well he can buy them 'cause he's in the states and those sort of birds are a little more accessable over there, but if you get one...thats a whole different matter! Only kidding, Good Luck saving anyway mate. Hope it happens for you soon. ;D Jen

Macaws are some of the easiest birds handraise to be honest. I've around 15 Hahns Macaws, Illiger Macaws & Last year I raised a Scarlet Macaw & BLue & GOld.
The only thing to watch is when they get older they have the most incredible pumping motion. Although most of the formula goes into their crop, you will wear some of it. Then they look at you with those dark puppy dog eyes and are like I'm sorry.
What kind you want Peter?
BLue & GOlds are the best for family pets but Scarlets & Greenwings - even Red Fronts or Militaries make great pets as well.

I swear he has gone mad! There were three hand raised blue and gold macaws at Birdworld yesterday! I was tempted to drain my savings right there and then, but they were overpriced at $8, 500 each. I have seen them in the paper for $7000 each handraised and cheaper taken from the nest. I would love one though.......
