If you have a look under your, and everbody's, name you will see a title called "karma" with a number next to it
Basically if you like somebody you can "exalt" (increase the karma number) them, and if you don't like somebody you can "smite" (decrease their karma number) them. It is good to change who you exalt and smite from time to time and you can only one chance per day to do it!
Karma just rates a person on the forum!
hope that makes sence

I've seen this used badly on sites before. Is it really a fair system? If someone has a disagreement with someone else on the forum, which does happen as much as we may not like it, then they can just go on a few times a day and the other person soon ends up with a negative karma score. This is hurtful for people and gives new members a preconceived idea of what people are like. I haven't had anything like this happen to me but I have seen it happen. I'm not trying to tell you what to do as I am only new to this forum but its something you may like to keep in mind.

With some luck members will use it in the right way but you might have the odd few that dont.

Just a reminder that the Karma system is up and running! We have some great new and older members who have still got lower karma. If you don't understand how karma works, check out the top of this thread. So lets get the people we like higher karma, and lower the people we dislike or disagree with(I doubt there will be much of this). Would love to see the Karma levels represent the people's input on the forum.
