It’s vital when hand-feeding that the temperature of the food is approximately 104 to 105 degrees. While you can have some variation in this, you don’t want to give your parrot food that is cooler than 100 degrees or warmer than 110. Anything warmer than that can actually burn the delicate crop membrane; anything cooler than 100 degrees won’t be able to leave the crop itself when the time comes. If you are a starter, the best thing to do is to hand-feed your friend with parrot breeders by your side.
