OMG I love the caiques and pineapple gccs. The suns are just stunning. I only wish we could have half the birds you keep over here in the west.

Heya there, over in Adelaide is where I am at. Thanks I put alot of work into making sure the birds have more than they need, infact many of the pairs in the aviaries have as many toys / treats as my pets, possibly why these sunnies I have out there are some of the quietest I have seen in aviaries... they have just alot of things to keep them busy lol If you keep just the one pair of suns, and keep them occupied, I have no doubt you would never run into the troubles some people have with noise complaints in more dense urban places. This is their current home. All pairs are happily housed in a simple setup, not huge but they are all more than happy. Flights are 2.7m(L) x 1m(W) x 1.8m(H), and to make sure they never have any soiled foods etc I made the last 900mm of the flights suspended, where their food is. The funny look on the ends is where I have placed some clear perspex about 8 inches from the top, this protects the feed/water from contaminaion in the swivel bowls on the front (that I have not yet fitted to all aviaries, but will soon enough).
