well only 4 weeks to go until my new German Pinscher puppy arrives from Queensland. Just thought I would give you all plenty of warning to expect lots of photos! She is black and tan and will be flying over with her sister who will be going to a lady in Perth that just happens to spend her holidays in Albany. It will be great to catch up with her now and then. There are so few German Pinschers in WA. I have one puppy picture with her 2 sisters as there are 3 black and tan females so wont know which one I am getting for another couple of weeks. But I will have to get permission to post that picture as it is not mine.

Hey, Finally my little German Pinscher Puppy has arrived from Queensland. Her Kennel name is Ravenred Catashka and I call her "Zara" I have had nooooooo sleep hardly as she cried all night. Hopefully tonight will be better! As I have said before she is just like a Dobermann to look at but will be smaller (about Kelpie size) First established in the late 1800's, It is believed The Dobermann and the Miniture Pinscher probably originated from this breed which nearly became extinct during World War 2 but is slowly making a comeback with careful breeding. They were originally used as "ratters" around farms and stables of Germany and its "next of kin" is the Schnauzer of all things. They were first imported to Australia in only 1986 by Mike Towell who has looked at this litter and described it as one of the finest litters he has ever seen! In 2003 there were only 230 (approx)German Pinschers in Australia and most of these are in Queensland & NSW and 1 breeder just moved to SA recently. There are currently no breeders in WA.

Saxon thinks she's Ok too but she keeps chewing on his legs and attacking him every chance she gets. He made an effort to play with her today and it was very funny to watch. She also met the chickens and thought they looked very tasty!
